Lively for me, is peacefull cohexistence between people of several countries, diferent religion, diferent ages..and they all get along with each other... Doesn't matter what color you're or if you have diferent beliefs, if you are fat and old..
Its a perfect World inside this Troubled World we all Real Live in...
I wish I could help more, dunno how.. nut i'm available for helping in what can..
I miss you already my co-livelyzens...
Take care
I've met tens of great friends on Lively and hundreds of diverse, interesting people from all around the world, each one of them with something to say...an amazing experience...Keep it Alive!
Lively to me is like an entire separate life. Believe it or not, some of the friends I've made there feel even closer than my friends in real life. Sure some of them may be hundreds of miles away, but the way Lively allows us to connect it's like we're in the same room.
Lively does what no standard chat room could do with it's simplistic yet elegant room shells and atmospheres and its avatars which are quirky yet sophisticated in their own special way.
With rooms as unique as the avatars that inhabit them, Lively is truly an unforgettable online experience that could never be replaced by any other online chat room.
Please Google, reconsider dropping the Lively project. This may just be the best thing you've given the public since your revolutionary search engine.
Lively has become a part of my daily life. Apart from my real life friends, I got to and continue to meet a lot of creative interesting individuals here who have grown to be close to me.
It is an alternate world, where you get to be, who you want to be. You realize your dreams thru this alternate Universe.
Shutting this down would mean killing all those characters that we've all loved already. It is sad to kill all of us. It's like God creating the Universe and after 5 months, ends it. It's like a mother creating this baby, but slaughtered it before it's even born, once she knew that it is unwanted. There is already life in Lively. I think it deserves to continue living...
I'm sure there is still a way. We want to live badly.
Long Live Lively!
1) What Lively means to you
To me, the greatest thing about Lively is that it is a living breathing lesson in world cultures. What an awesome privelege to sit down with people from all over the planet and share our life stories.
2) What features you would like to see on Lively
I have been happy with it just as it is. And I would be happy with less features if it meant that Lively could survive.
3) What your suggestions are for keeping Lively alive
I don't have the knowledge to advise Google on that. I would like them to know that Lively made me a user of other Google products like Picasa and Gmail and greatly increased my usage of Youtube.
4) What you are willing to do to keep Lively alive
I would be willing to pay a subscription price.
DO SOMETHING
Everybody please feel free to use, share and/or link to this images in your rooms or public posts out there, they perfectly fits any semi-backlit poster, or photo floor(among others)
Dont forget to place links EVERYWHERE to www.livelyzens.com
Thanks Kosmik for all your efforts and thanks to everyone for every single help!

Lively for me was the opening of an unknown world for me. A world of creativity, a world full of friends, a shelter from the madness that Real Life can be.
The existing features are nice. Maybe an integration with GTalk, but that is really not the most important issue.
Maybe Google could add their AD's somewhere in any room created. Also, they could think of a paid subscription.
Mottainai!

What does it feel like to lose your family all at once??? Well… I’m feeling that way since I’ve heard the news about Lively being shut down at the end of December.
Lively has become for me not only a place for socializing, but a sort of utopian world that has been written about since ancient times: sharing, creating, laughing, crying, supporting, and more; all in a world where cash is NOT king.
We are all there because we want to be; not to make money or anything else, and the rooms that we create are labors of love because we want to share our dreams and our hearts with one another. We find each other and connect across this huge planet of ours, and love and friendship in the most beautiful manifestations is the result. We are every color, religion, education level, socioeconomic group and age; we meet there and none of these things matter. If Google cannot view that as success, I have no idea what success looks like.
I’m not sure what Google expected from Lively in a 6-month period; it doesn’t seem enough time to test it properly in my opinion. Following from the same line of thinking, can you imagine if the internet had only given its potential success 6 months to be achieved?
Please Google reconsider your decision to shut down Lively.

You cant give something as big as lively to us and then just take it away, considering the number of different search engines there are these days google was dying out till lively happened. PLEASE re consider, keep my other world alive!!!!!!
Kosmik, Pony, Vash, and everyone… excellent work on the petition. Thank you for your efforts. Now everyone…. Please make sure you sign it!
… just want to apprise you of an expedition that King and I went on last night. It had been suggested that we all try to migrate over to a new 3D chat platform, so we decided to experiment with There.com. There were some interesting aspects to There; the most positive was that by default conversations are private (at least it seemed that way). You have to click on a join button to “hear” a one-on-one conversation between two people.
It is a vast multiple-island space where you navigate around by teleporting from a linked map feature. The map is marked with pins and notations much like many online maps. We decided to check out a so-called “hot spot” called The Tower.
The Tower seemed like a sort of nightclub with booths and such. However, there was a group of about 20 or so avatars all in red t-shirts standing around an overstuffed armchair. We couldn’t figure out what they were doing, so I politely approached the group and asked what was going on. Within seconds…. The entire group vanished into thin air. King likened it to some sort of disappearing space-age cult….!!! He and I assumed that they had all decided simultaneously to hit IGNORE. Very bizarre and VERY unwelcoming.
At that point, we wanted to go back to LIVELY and see our friends…. As we discussed later… the disappearing act would never have occurred on our beloved Lively.
On a lighter note, since all of the clothes and hairstyles have to be purchased on There, we decided to “try” some clothing which is something you can do prior to purchasing. It gives you a five minute window to wear the item… but guess what??? When the five minutes is up, you are left standing in your undies!!!
There is no way a platform such as There.com can come anywhere close to replacing Lively… please let us do everything in our collective power to support the cause. Let’s stay aLively!!!
Peace and Love to everyone,
beetle
hey all,
I just had a quick look in lively, I am second life resident, I would be sad to if suddenly my online world would dissappear.
Beetle we spoke briefly. I copied your message on my blog. Of course I hope for you all the google will reconsider. But if not you are all welcome in secondlife and I can guide you to become a secondlife resident.
Rob.my-secondlife.nl is a way tp reach me.
And there are other ways to keep in touch with your online family.
Take care you all.

What pulled me in to Lively and what kept me coming back day after day and week after week, has been a profound confluence of factors.
Lively provides a level playing field where all users are free to express themselves through their avatars and through designing rooms. In no other metaverse have I experienced this combination of self-expression and the flourishing of artistic creativity. Taking objects from the catalog and creating hot tubs, sailing ships, dungeons and towers, we've unleashed enormous potential. To everyone who helped in building the room (especially Pony, Sophia and Kosmikguru) and all those who visited the WTC Memorial room, I thank you.
Beyond the canvas for creativity, what Lively means to me is an environment that uniquely fosters communication and community. In Lively I have participated in conversations with people from India, France, Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Crete (thank you, Oriste!), England, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Australia, Taiwan, Japan, and many others I'm probably not even aware of. There have been disruptive participants, of course. But on the whole, my experience in this world has been a wonderful opportunity for communication and collaboration. The chats and discussions have been silly, funny, profound and expansive. To all my friends, from around the world, I'll miss what we have developed in Lively. I refuse to believe that the end of this experiment means the end of our relationships and the end of this community.
Peace and love,
-Serame
